Jaren Huber: Rose City Nationalists’ Puppy Kicker

Welcome back to Part 7 of our series on Rose City Nationalists (RCN). In this installment, we will be exposing Jaren Huber of Portland, Oregon. Based on his membership in a white supremacist organization and his history of domestic violence, he is a threat to the community.

Jaren Huber at RCN events

Jaren’s involvement with Rose City Nationalists dates back to at least Spring of 2023. Researchers have been tracking Jaren through RCN “activisms” using his distinctive clothing. His first confirmed appearances were at the Northwest Nationalist Network’s (3N) first rally in April of 2023 in Florence, Oregon, and at 3N’s disruption of Lewis County Pride in Centralia, Washington in June of the same year.
Jaren also appears in the videos of the PDX Proud Boys’ beatdown of RCN in June of 2023. This embarassing moment was viewed by tens of millions of people, primarily due to Elon Musk falsely claiming RCN were federal agents and reposting a faildox of one of their members, for which Musk is currently being sued.
Unfortunately, getting his ass beat by Proud Boys did not discourage him from being involved with RCN, though. A little over two weeks later, Jaren can be seen in a video of an RCN banner-drop over I-5 in Sherwood, Oregon.

Just a few days later, images would be posted to Telegram celebrating a meet-up between Patriot Front and RCN on Mt. Saint Helens.

Jaren would appear in two more RCN media releases during July 2023 – a group training photo on the 27th, and a video of a banner-drop over I-5 in Salem on the 29th.

Jaren continued to be active with RCN throughout the Summer of 2023, being seen in another group training photo from early August and another banner-drop video over the Darlene Hooley Pedestrian Bridge in Portland.
On September 9th 2023, RCN dropped another banner over the same overpass in Sherwood. Jaren can be seen in the videos posted to the RCN Telegram channel. This would be their last banner-drop for 9 months.

Jaren remained active in the white supremacist organization through the winter and is seen putting up fascist stickers across Portland in a video posted to the RCN Telegram on November 25th, and in a Telegram post celebrating a crew hike in the Tillamook State Forest on December 31st.

Rose City Nationalists membership deteriorated over the latter half of 2023, and by early 2024 it appeared they were down to just three or four members. This resulted in a relative lull in their activity up until this last month. On June 10th, RCN posted photos from a banner-drop over, yet again, the same overpass in Sherwood. Jaren can be seen in these photos.
RCN has ramped up their “activisms” during Pride Month by putting up homophobic flyers around the areas of upcoming Pride events in the western PDX metro area, though they have been unable to cause any disruptions to the festivities.

Identifying Jaren Huber
On the night of June 21st of this year, two RCN members put up homophobic flyers around Newberg in anticipation of a Pride event taking place on the 22nd. The following day, they would take credit for the flyers on their Telegram channel. During this “activism”, they were confronted by community members for their white supremacist propaganda, one of whom took a photo of the two men.

Researchers were able to match the face tattoos of the man on the right to those of Jaren Huber, positively confirming a long suspected identity.
It is also worth noting that Jaren is the first publicly identified member of RCN who actually lives in Portland. Additionally, Jaren has shaved his head and gotten several more tattos since his last mugshot.

Rose City Nationalists, Rose City Abusers
 
Like RCN founder Casey Knuteson, Jaren Huber is a convicted abuser. He made local headlines in 2018 for two violent incidents. In December of 2017, Jaren was found guilty of kicking, strangling and attempting to poison a puppy. Huber has also been doccumented physically assaulting his romantic partner, and attempting to strangle his grandfather.
Jaren has a troubling history of abuse against his family members, having also been arrested for domestic violence in 2014, 2015, and in 2021. He is still currently on probation for the 2021 arrest. He was additionally charged with assault in October of 2018, although that case did not constitute domestic violence. Furthermore, there have been additional unreported incidents where Jaren has abused his family, dog, and threatened to abuse his baby, according to court documents.

Conclusion
 
It is evident that Jaren Huber, and Rose City Nationalists as a whole, represent a serious threat to the PNW, and especially to the marginalized neighbors in Portland’s North Tabor neighborhood. Despite waning membership, long periods of inactivity, and a relative lack of respect in the 3.0 white nationalist scene, Jaren and the remaining members of RCN are continuing to target and attempting to intimidate LGBTQ Pride events in the PDX metro area.
