Quentin Eric Storey is an Oregon State University student in the college of economics. He has a documented history of attempting to intimidate local marginalized communities and covering the city with racist, homophobic, and right-wing stickers and posters. While none of his actions are explicitly violent, in our time doing this work, we have frequently seen individuals like Quentin engage in patterns of escalatory behavior. Many of our subjects begin with low key actions like stickering and postering that embolden them to engage in actual violence. As this is the case, we feel it is important for the public know about Quentin’s actions and identity.
In spring 2023 we were made aware of an attempt to intimidate attendees of a drag brunch held at the Biere Library from a man wearing a goofy bright orange OSU bucket hat and ski mask. At the event, he held a childish homemade sign reading, “This is perverse. This is Wrong.” After being denied entry to the event by supportive locals, the man stormed off alone and sadly folded his sign and put it in the trash. Following the incident, the pathetic protestor became referred to as “Bucket Hat Guy” to those in the know.

On June 1st 2023, Bucket Hat Guy again made an appearance. This time, he held a one man counterprotest of a Trans Rights march held by the Corvallis Lesbian Avengers. At this event, he once more brought a poster board that (if not for its hateful content) would fit nicely in a 3rd grade science fair. This sign confusingly reads, “2 GENDERS 0 TRANS I WILL NEVER USE TRANS PRONOUNS.” It also features the logos of Fidelity Month, a bizarre campaign to designate June as a celebration of fidelity to, “God, family, and country.” The project, created by arch-conservative ghoul Robert P. George is an attempt to subvert pride celebrations during the month.
In February of 2024, CVA received reports of two individuals bothering the Really Really Free Market, a local mutual aid group that provides essential clothing and supplies to Corvallis’ houseless residents. We noticed that one of these individuals, was wearing a coyote-brown backpack, the same backpack that Bucket Hat Guy chose to wear to harass the Lesbian Avengers. Once we had their faces, it was short work to identify Bucket Hat Guy as Quentin Eric Storey and his partner as his roommate Kevin Jeffries.

Later, in December of this year, the pair set up an anti-Black Lives Matter diorama across Central Park plaza from the Really Really Free Market. The diorama featured the same colored pencil “artistry” as the signs once held by Bucket Hat Guy.

Quentin’s harassment doesn’t solely extend to queer people and those helping the homeless. He’s also made a point to threaten and bother OSU students protesting on behalf of Palestinian survival during the ongoing genocide in Gaza. He frequently was seen hollering at his fellow students during the OSU Palestine encampment. He is pictured below at a February rally in the SEC plaza where SUPER and Mid-Valley Jews 4 Peace demonstrated for a ceasefire during the Israeli bombing of civilians in Rafah.
During the summer of 2024, leading up to the presidential election, we noticed an uptick in hateful stickers and posters being placed across Corvallis. Much of this propaganda was clearly being produced by the same individual. The low-quality stickers were all homemade using adhesive labels run through a consumer printer, and all had similarly cheesy graphics. Many of the same graphics appeared on posters covered in adhesive tape and wheatpaste. The messaging present on these stickers varies greatly. Some of it is standard MAGA-aligned slop, while other content is more explicitly anti-Black, homophobic, and anti-trans.
Several of these stickers feature comics by crypto-fascist artists like Stonetoss and WokelyCorrect. This type of propaganda is deceptively insidious. These artists ingratiate themselves to conservative audiences using somewhat innocuous humor pointing out perceived hypocrisy of liberals and leftists. When audiences explore their bodies of work more deeply, they will find themselves pointed towards increasingly extreme conspiratorial viewpoints like Holocaust revisionism and great replacement theory. This phenomenon is explained in-depth in Anonymous Comrades Collective’s masterful takedown of Stonetoss published this March.
Eventually, we received a tip from a concerned Corvallisite who had seen a bearded man putting the stickers up. We showed this individual several pictures of local far-right agitators, and they identified the responsible party as Bucket Hat Guy himself, Quentin Eric Storey. Demonstrable proof that Quentin is the sticker-er can be found in his big boy diorama. The posterboard features a painting from deviantart user Kinnas which also appears on a sticker seen slapped across Corvallis. We should make it clear, despite Quentin utilizing the slogan “White Lives Matter” on this sticker, we have no reason to believe he has any association with the eponymous neo-Nazi group we infiltrated and exposed earlier this year.
Quentin’s Facebook profile also features a photo of the Trump, “fight” graphic. This is clearly one of his favorites, and we’ve seen more instances of this specific image around town than any of his others. In the comments, Quentin offers to send relatives stickers with the graphic.
In many ways, Quentin’s behavior parallels that of local neo-Nazi Benjamin Baker. Like Quentin, Ben had a tendency towards harassing local marginalized communities, and expressing himself with racist graffiti in an escalating pattern. In another striking parallel, each individual has turned their roommate into a toadie who accompanies them on missions to bother people. For Ben it was Kyle Bonham. For Quentin it is Kevin Jeffries. Ben’s behavior eventually spiraled out of control and culminated in him joining and getting kicked out of Patriot Front, displaying a swastika flag in his window, and illegally discharging a firearm during a dispute over a meth deal at the skatepark.
Just tell us you don’t see the resemblance…
To Quentin and Kevin, we urge you to avoid following the path of Ben Baker. Whatever small contrarian joys you receive from being a nuisance to your fellow citizens will be far-outweighed by the pain and suffering involvement in the far-right will bring into your life. Exit the ideological spiral now, before it’s too late. You may end up like Ben, a lonely felon isolated from his community stuck deep in debt and barely scraping by.
This article was made possible by helpful individuals across the Corvallis community who have consistently sent us tips regarding hateful materials and actions they have witnessed. We are extremely grateful to these individuals for their help in keeping our community free of bigotry.
